June 3 - Travel Day

We left Houston around 9…we had two connections. First Denver and then L.A., we got to Denver just in time to board our flight to L.A. (a little too close for my taste). We got to Los Angeles early and had a little time to relax and walk around. Flight to Kauai was long, but we arrived early and that was nice. Getting our luggage and rental car was easy. Drove to Wailua Riverside Hideaway. Nice place…not much of a view but a beautiful little house. We are only a few steps to the Wailua River and the house comes with a kayak.

After settling in we went out to dinner…nothing fancy. We were way too tired for that. Had hamburgers at Bubba’s Burgers…something of a landmark here. Good and filling, but not great. We picked up a few things at Foodland and then went back to the Hideaway to unpack and relax. We went to bed around nine…that was two o’clock Texas time!
